Saturday became a book.
I became a skeleton recently.
It's all in good fun.
Closest my house, the gutter flooded the intersection,
electricity went out, and in the darkness
I turned into a bear.
We all turned into bears.
By morning, I took to Windexing the walls.
The neighborhood has a block meeting,
we talked about your shirts, how their seams
always looked like streets.
Then, as everyone pleated away, I ease dropped on the following conversation:
Hello.
Hello.
I had so much to say.
You did?
Yes.
Now what?
I forgot myself. I forgot all of us.
Okay. Should we sit?
How long?
Till we remember.
