Glass Tree-House Hotel

O n July 17th, the Tree hotel opened in Harads, Sweden. Stockholm-based architects Tham + Videgard Hansson Arkitekter designed this hotel
to be made of mirrored glass cubes with a special  film application to make it visible to birds. It suspends high off the ground and is accessible by rope: ladder or bridge.  No elevators here.

According to BlackBook contributor Hailey Eber relays that Anette Selberg, the Tree hotel Sales Manager, says, "'This is untouched forest and we want to maintain it the same way.' She adds, 'We decided for example to not offer snowmobile safari which is very common up here.'"

It will have six rooms, four of which are available for booking now and the other two are scheduled to open in October. And the rooms have names:  the Mirrorcube, the UFO, the Blue Cone, the Nest, A Room With a View, and the Cabin.
