Third Gear

Played around with some light painting on still life objects after reading about Barry Taratoot, Georgia based photographer who had an exhibit at Georgia's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, titled "The Les Fleurs Photographic Collection." They are otherworldly flowers that look like paintings against a black background and in total darkness by positioning them in soft light and shadows. He used a high end scanner but I went with moving around a tipped over lamp and some left over Halloween lights.

-That Morning, I Had Just Moved Into My Car-

"'If they were ideas?' 'because, sir / things which in my mind blossom will
stumble beneath a clumsiet disguise, appear / capable of fragility and indecision"
  - ee cummings, from "the wind is a lady with"

And I got back in bed.
Wasn't far.

And she called,
Bridges are closing

Everyone is screaming.
Another one hangs up.

So I put on my pants.
And brought a granola bar up the roof.

All my neighbors
Up there

The whole block really
Like history

Today’s hell rolled
Down the street such a beautiful ball

So smooth
I drink less coffee now

And can sleep at night
But who couldn’t miss July

Forever
When they finally moved their cars 50 feet from the Rent-to-Own shop.

When I finally moved my car 60 feet from the Rent-To-Own shop.
I think of it so much

When I ride over the bridge or see someone ride over the bridge.
And stop mid-glance.

When else do you look up?
